Job Summary
VP, Quality & Patient Safety
We are looking for a candidate with ample experience to lead the Quality department at Citrus Memorial Hospital in Inverness, Florida. You will report to the Chief Executive Officer and will have 3 to 4 direct reports to manage at this 204 bed facility.
You will need a Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing and a Postgraduate’s Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field completed or in progress. You must have at least 5 years of director level experience, and previous experience in clinical, risk management, or administrative arenas is preferred. A CPHQ or CHCQM is required, though individuals without CPHQ will be granted a 12 month grace period to obtain their certification if all other qualifications are met. Patient Safety Certification is preferred.

HCA Florida is made up of over 50 hospitals and hundreds of care facilities, including freestanding emergency rooms, surgery centers, diagnostic facilities and physician practices.
Celebrating more than a 60 year history of healing, Citrus Memorial Hospital is the leading provider of healthcare in Citrus County and the surrounding area. The 204-bed acute care hospital offers services including ER 24/7, Heart and Vascular Center, Orthopedic and Spine Center of Excellence, and the Women and Baby Center. A range of minimally invasive and robotic surgeries are offered including bariatric, thoracic, colorectal, urologic, gynecological and general surgeries. Citrus Memorial also offers outpatient rehabilitation at the hospital and three off-campus locations as well as wound care and hyperbarics, behavioral health, diagnostic imaging including a breast imaging center of excellence, cardiopulmonary rehabilitation and laboratory services. The hospital’s Graduate Medical Education program includes a Transitional Year program as well as an Internal Medicine Residency program affiliated with the USF Morsani College of Medicine.

VP, Quality & Patient Safety
The VP of Quality and Patient Safety is responsible for developing and executing organizational quality and performance improvement. This position is also responsible for leadership and organizational wide direction in ensuring a continuously improving culture of safety.

Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing; Post Graduate Degree in Nursing or Healthcare related field required or in process
Experience: Minimum 5 years of experience. Knowledge of State, Federal, and JCAHO regulations. Previous experience in the clinical, risk management, and/or administrative arenas preferred.
Training: CPHQ (Certified Professional in Healthcare Quality) OR CHCQM (Diplomate in American Board of Quality Assurance and Utilization Review Physicians)
Individuals without CPHQ or ABQUARP will be granted a 12 month grace period to obtain CPHQ or ABQAURP to obtain, if all other qualifications are met.
SHIFT: No Weekends
