VP, Quality Rn
We are looking for a registered nurse to fill in the role of Vice President of Quality RN for HCA Mercy Hospital in Miami, Florida. You will manage the Quality department, along with one direct report at this 488 bed medical center, and you will report to the facility’s CEO.
You will be required to have a Bachelor’s of Science in Nursing, and a Master’s in a healthcare related field is preferred. You will need 5 years of management experience or experience at a director level with a focus on Quality Management, performance improvement, or Risk Management. You must also have acute care hospital experience, and a RN license, CPHQ, or CPPS is preferred.

VP, Quality RN
Job Summary:
The VP of Quality is responsible for ensuring full compliance with all accreditation and licensure standards at all times. Coordinates hospital-wide continuing quality improvement activities. Responsible for identification, investigation, analysis, and evaluation of risk and selection of the most advantageous method of correcting, reducing or eliminating identifiable risk. The risk responsibilities as identified by the CEO. Responsible for medical Staff activities, credentialing, and leadership. Responsible for ensuring Infection Control activities are compliant. Reports the activities of the Quality program to the Medical Staff, Leadership Team, and the Board of Trustees.
Qualifications:
RN license preferred
CPHQ, CPPS preferred
Bachelor’s degree required, Master’s preferred, graduate from an accredited RN or other healthcare related field
Minimum of 5 years health care experience with a focus on Quality Management, performance improvement, and/or Risk Management in a supervisory and/or management capacity required
Thorough knowledge of Quality Assessment and Improvement, Medical Staff Credentialing, Medical Terminology, and must possess fundamental knowledge of hospital regulatory requirements, standards of Joint Commission, CMS, and other State and Federal Regulations
Additional Information:
· Minimum of 5 years Management Experience or Director level health care experience with a focus on Quality Management, performance improvement, and/or Risk Management in a supervisory and/or management capacity required
CMO is comfortable in having someone that has Management Experience or Director level experience but must be an RN and CMO is willing/open to training if needed
· BSN is required
